AGC 150

The AGC 150 is a genset controller containing all necessary functions for control and protection of a genset. The slim design makes the controller suitable for paralleling even small gensets thus the AGC 150 is integrable in nearly all types of gensets.

AGC 150 - Advanced Genset Controller
Easy setup

Gensets connected via CAN bus are easily set up for parallel operation as the controllers automatically detect each other at the CAN network. If you at a later stage connect more gensets, the controller automatically identifies and connects them via CAN bus, and application configuration is possible via the display.

Easy and safe to use

Get access to important genset information quickly via the sunlight readable LCD.

The controller features illuminated buttons that smoothly guide the operator and make it very easy and intuitive to operate. Only buttons relevant for a function are visible to the user. Get easy access to the most common functions with configurable shortcuts.

The AGC 150 provides up to three levels (customer, service, and master) of password-protected and role-based access. Configure parameters for each level and have only relevant parameters displayed.

Built to last – also in green energy applications

The AGC 150 comes with uncompromising quality. The controller is made of robust materials and is built to last. It has undergone several tests showing that it stands wear and tear in all types of harsh environments. Also, the controller is suitable for PV-Diesel hybrid solutions and also meets Tier 4 Final requirements

DEIF advanced genset controller, AGC 200, meets and surpasses OEM needs for synchronisation. A costeffective, compact, scalable and all-in-one product, the AGC 200 comes in several variants.

AGC 200 controller -Description

DEIF Advanced Genset Controller, AGC 200, meets and surpasses OEM needs for synchronisation. The AGC 200 is a costeffective, compact, scalable and all-in-one product - the AGC 200 comes in several variants.

The advanced controller series, AGC 200, integrates all necessary functions for genset protection and control, stands out for its reliability and operator-friendliness, and features patent-pending DEIF Emulation to speed up design, testing and commissioning, saving man hours and costs.

Applying asymmetric load sharing to ensure optimal load on the genset, the AGC 200 also cuts operating costs and reduces harmful emissions. With temperature dependent cooling, the AGC 200 arrests cooling at pre-programmed cool-down temperatures and features automatic priority selection, setting the optimum combination of gensets for optimised fuel consumption.

AGC 200: Critical power applications

With its integrated load and power management functionality, the AGC 200 secures backup power availability when you need it. An ideal solution for critical power applications, such as data centres, hospitals, airports and fish farms.

AGC 200: Rental genset applications

Rental companies will benefit from the standardised user interfaces of all DEIF controllers. The controllers have been designed with ease of operation in view and rental companies can easily set and lock parameters to ensure full protection of their equipment.

AGC 200: Hybrid applications

AGC 200 is plug’n’play compatible with DEIF’s ASC-4 hybrid controller for easy integration of diesel genset applications into a variety of hybrid installations. The market-leading solution maximises sustainable power penetration while always securing a sufficient amount of spinnning reserve in case PV production drops.

AGC 200: Available standard modes:

Island mode: Power plant with synchronising generators or a stand-alone generator. Also applicable in critical power plants.

Automatic Mains Failure: Critical power/emergency standby plants, black start generator.

Fixed power: Power plant with fixed kW set point (including building load).

ALC-4

Ideally suited for critical power applications, the ALC-4 integrates load handling into your power management system, eliminating the need for traditional PLC solutions.

Ideally suited for critical power applications, the ALC-4 integrates load handling into your power management system, eliminating the need for traditional PLC solutions. The ALC-4 improves system reliability and installs quickly while also reducing your investment and fuel costs compared to PLCs.

Secured power supply

Intended for use in critical power management applications, the ALC-4 can control up to 8 consumer feeders per unit and helps control power plants in combination with other DEIF controllers.

By prioritising each consumer, the ALC-4 calculates which load groups can be supplied, depending on the available power in the system. This also means that your system is running fully optimised at all times, thus reducing fuel consumption along with wear and tear.

Quick installation

Contrary to traditional PLC solutions that have to be programmed manually from scratch, the ALC-4 units just require manual setting of a few parameters and you’ll be up and running. Combined with DEIF’s unique Emulation SW, you’ll be able to create and fully test your application solution virtually on a PC before installation and commissioning. This reduces installation time and risk of human error.

Power management

The ALC units receive information from the power management system regarding produced power, available power and stand-by power (non-running but ready generators).

This is based on the plant layout system in AGC power management (ALC-4 cannot be used as stand-alone controller). That means that the ALC not only knows about the power situation, but also where (on which busbar) it is placed in the system. This enables the ALC to react on BTBs being opened and subsequent change of the power scheme. The positions of the feeder breakers are a part of the USW plant setup.

Disconnecting and reconnecting feeders

In case of power shortages, the system disconnects feeders according to their priority. The least important feeder is disconnected first. The system also calculates how many feeders have to be disconnected to maintain power supply without overloading the generators. This calculation is carried out at all times, also taking BTB positions into consideration. Once enough power is present, the system will re-connect feeders, again according to their priority.

Anticipated load-dependent start

In case feeders are disconnected, and a generator is standby, the generator is to be started and put online. Once online, the system will calculate and connect the number of feeders possible without overloading the system.

Operating modes

Using the ALC, you can control the feeders automatically (auto mode) or manually by means of the display or Modbus commands.

  • Prioritised load groups
  • Anticipated load-dependent start
  • Integrated in power management system
  • Automatic startup of extra gensets
