Royalstar Energy:

very dedicated solution for gas generator to make the gentset  unit work at high efficiency. When a unit is in a genset configuration the engine, alternator and other supporting items are located on a skid. Waste heat from the engine would be dissipated in the exhaust gas and via an engine cooling circuit linked to heat dump radiators.

The rapid development of industrial  biogas production continues to raise  the standards in automation technology and metrology at biogas plants.

For any biogas plant to be commercially profitable, it has to operate with maximum efficiency for maximum output  over the long haul.

Any process that’s inefficient or interrupted can seriously impact operating results. Even at small plants with a  capacity of 500 kW or less, any downtime easily ensues several thousand Euros a day in losses.

experience in process automation. Complex systems  benefit in particular from our services, but so do smaller plants, because at ROYALSTAR, we believe in scalable solutions.

Our system solutions are based on cutting-edge know-how of biogas systems, which comes as a result of our work with highly esteemed research institutes.

ROYALSTAR boasts a comprehensive portfolio of products and  systems specifically geared to process automation, as well  as solutions for the automation and safe handling of all the aspects that define biogas production. Systems for the  utilization of energy, like cogeneration plants, or drying,  pelletizing, and gas transfer systems, make the list as well.

  • More than 2000 power generators with approximately 2,800,000 kWel already installed around the globe

The MWM gas engines of the TCG 2020 series are perfectly geared to the challenges of a dynamic market environment. Our models in the output range of 1,000 – 2,000 kWel meet the high requirements of a broad range of applications and guarantee efficiency, reliability, flexibility and environmental sustainability, together with low lifecycle costs and high profitability.

Our range for your cogeneration power plants (CHP)
Tailored power plant solutions and gas engines from MWM

MWM stands for highly-efficient and eco-friendly combined heat and power (CHP) plants for decentralized electric power, and has almost 150 years of experience in the development and optimization of gas engines and gensets for natural gas, biogas and other special gases.

The advantage of MWM combined heat and power over the separate production of electrical power and heat lies in the significantly higher utilization of the primary energy.

MWM cogeneration plants are the perfect choice for you if you want to invest in energy-efficient and environmentally sound energy solutions for the future growth of your company. Use our CHP amortization calculator for assessing the profitability and efficiency of your planned investment. We are also gladly available to you to provide personal consultation.

Gauscor-Bio Gas

The ROYALSTAR -Siemens lean burn, electronically carburetor, SGE-S engine series ranges from 300kwe to 945kwe and provides excellent installation solutions for co- and tri-generation configurations. These engines have been designed to operate with accurate conditions thanks to the electronic devices, for the control of the combustion features providing higher performance at minimum emissions.

This engine series is commonly used in co-generation facilities with natural gas at high temperatures in cooling circuits and with biogas in various applications where electrical efficiency, easy operation and service, and high flexibility of operation are required.

The main features include:

  • Dry / wet exhaust manifold
  • Single / double step intercooler
  • Oil cooler in main / auxiliary circuit
  • 120 / 90ºC main cooling circuit temperature
  • 80 / 55 / 40ºC intercooler cooling circuit temperature
  • With / without exhaust catalyst

Jenbacher Bio Gas

Jenbacher Standard Containerised Unit

The Jenbacher container is a high-quality unit which can be deployed where economical and speedy installation is required. The Jenbacher containers are fully tested when they leave the production facility and are excellent for ‘plug-and-play’ applications. The overall compact design ensures a space saving installation with service-orientated accessibility.

The units arrive as two components:

  • The container including the gas engine gensetor cogeneration module, alternator, ventilation system, cooling systems and separate engine control room and switching system.
  • The container is coupled with a skid which includes heat dump radiators silencer and optionally plate heat exchangers and exhaust gas heat exchangersto facilitate combined heat and power
Applications

Gas engine containers are used for a wide variety of different applications and depends upon the specific requirements of your project. Particularly where projects require rapid deployment or removal. They are particularly popular where gas availability may vary over time, such as a landfill site. Here the gas production peaks after the closure of the landfill. They are also widely used for biogas applications where the most economical, sound attenuated units are preferred.  They can then be transferred to another site.  They are also popular with financiers as they provide the most readily movable and saleable asset from the perspective of project finance.

captive power plant is a facility that provides a localised source of power to an energy user. These are typically industrial facilities, large offices or data centres. The plants may operate in grid parallel mode with the ability to export surplus power to the local electricity distribution network. Alternatively they may have the ability to operate in island mode; i.e. independently of the local electricity distribution system.

Power Module

Clarke Energy recognised the requirements for a ‘power module’ based around the Jenbacher Type-6 engine. The power module scope which comprises of engine, enclosure, silencer cooling system and other key ancillary components has been optimised for the requirements of the Australian coal gas and remote power markets.

The power module has been designed to operate in hot or humid environments with ambient temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius and can be configured with bolt on upgrades including cogeneration equipment (hot water + steam) and chilled air intakes. Clarke Energy has incorporated the power module into an in-house pre-engineered power station solution dubbed the ‘cookie cutter’ due to its simple modular configuration. This solution has now been delivered to many clients with power stations in the range of 1 to 45MWe.

The Clarke Energy ‘Cookie-Cutter’ power station model has been designed from the onset to allow coal gas producers to begin generating power early and hence early monetisation of the valuable coal gas resource. The modular design model facilitates the earliest possible generation given that work can start immediately upon award saving critical design time at the front end. The proven model then allows steady augmentation to coincide with the development of the gas reserves and drilling programme. This means that coal gas producers can begin generating with as little as 500kWe and then grow output to tens of megawatts as the gas wells become operational.
